KENTUCKY BLUE RIBBON ALL-BUTTER POUND CAKE
This is the recipe my Grandmother would make every year during the holidays. I found the recipe tucked in her Bible when she passed, and it was written in her Grandmother's handwriting. It's been in my family for at least 7 generations, and in 2012, I won a Blue Ribbon at the Kentucky State fair by following her exact instructions. Tastes like pure love!

KENTUCKY POUND CAKE
A recipe I got from a Kentucky woman who told me " It's so easy, it only takes a minute!" and it doesn't take much longer than that!

Steps:
- Grease and flour bundt pan or 2 loaf pans. ( I use Pam Baking Spray).
- Heat oven to 350. Beat all ingredients on low for one minute. Pour into pan(s). Bake for 45 mn., checking often towards the end. Let sit in pan for 10 mn. unmold, let cool completely. This is best the next day, after a night wrapped in clingwrap, and placed in fridge.
Tips:
- Use room temperature ingredients. This will help the cake batter come together more smoothly and evenly.
- Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. This will help to incorporate air into the batter, resulting in a lighter and more tender cake.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. This will help to prevent the batter from curdling.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk. This will help to prevent the batter from becoming too thick or lumpy.
- Do not overmix the batter. Overmixing can result in a tough, dense cake.
- Bake the cake in a preheated oven. This will help to ensure that the cake bakes evenly.
- Cool the cake completely before frosting. This will help to prevent the frosting from melting.
Conclusion:
Kentucky Pound Cake is a classic Southern dessert that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With its simple ingredients and straightforward instructions, this cake is perfect for bakers of all skill levels. Whether you are looking for a special occasion dessert or a simple afternoon treat, Kentucky Pound Cake is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.
