- In a small bowl, combine the sour cream, mayonnaise and dressing mix. Toss avocado with lemon juice; stir into sour cream mixture. Stir in tomato. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Serve with desired crackers and assorted vegetables.

Steps:
- Place first seven ingredients in a saucepan; heat through over medium heat, whisking until blended. In a small bowl, mix flour and cold water until smooth; stir into cranberry mixture. Bring to a boil; cook and stir 2 minutes. If desired, tint with food coloring., Remove to a bowl; cool slightly. Refrigerate, covered, overnight. Serve with pretzels.

This can be used as a dip or salad dressing. I like to make this in the summertime with homegrown tomatoes. From the Cotton Country Collection. Best to use regular potato chips if served as dip.
