¾ pound bacon
1 medium onion, diced
6 cups leftover mashed potatoes
1 (32 ounce) container chicken broth
2 pints half-and-half
2 (15.25 ounce) cans whole kernel corn, drained

1 tablespoon green hot pepper sauce

2 teaspoons bacon drippings
1 onion, diced
4 stalks celery, chopped
1 pound bulk pork sausage
1 teaspoon dried sage
½ teaspoon paprika
salt and ground black pepper to taste
4 cups finely chopped broccoli florets
4 cups reduced-sodium vegetable broth
4 cups leftover mashed potatoes
1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
1 (7 ounce) can diced green chilies
2 cups sour cream

Steps:

  • Heat bacon drippings in a large, deep saucepan or soup pot over medium-high heat. Add onion and celery; saute until softened, 3 to 5 minutes.
