1-1/2 pounds lean ground beef (90% lean)
SAUCE:
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 can (20 ounces) pineapple chunks, undrained
1/3 cup sliced green onions
1/3 cup cider vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 medium green pepper, cut into strips
Hot cooked rice, optional

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into 2 dozen 1-1/2-in. balls. Place in a greased 2-qt. baking dish. , For sauce, combine brown sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan. 1 cup packed brown sugar

1 pound ground beef
1 egg
1 onion, chopped
1 cup dry bread crumbs
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup water
½ cup cider vinegar
½ cup ketchup
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons soy sauce

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine beef, egg, onion, bread crumbs, salt and pepper. Roll into meatballs about 1 to 1 1/2 inches in size.

4 slices hearty white bread, torn into pieces
1/2 cup whole milk
2 large egg yolks
1/2 lb ground pork
1/2 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons pepper
2 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 onion, minced
1 (28 ounce) can tomato sauce
2 1/2 cups apricot preserves
1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • MAKE MEATBALLS: Adjust oven racks to upper-middle and lower middle positions and heat oven to 450 degrees F.
