MEAT JUN

This is a great Koren recipe. Time does not reflect marinade time. Actual times are estimates. The recipe doesn't tell you when to slice the meat but I would personally slice it after it marinates ... might be overpowering otherwise.

Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of meat: Different cuts of meat have different textures and flavors. For example, flank steak is best grilled or pan-fried, while chuck roast is better for braising or stewing.
  • Marinate the meat: Marinating the meat helps to tenderize it and add flavor. You can use a simple marinade made with olive oil, herbs, and spices, or you can get creative and try a more complex marinade with ingredients like yogurt, wine, or fruit juice.
  • Cook the meat to the right temperature: The internal temperature of the meat will determine its doneness. For example, beef should be cooked to an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit for medium-rare, while chicken should be cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit for fully cooked.
  • Let the meat rest: After cooking, let the meat rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, making it more tender and flavorful.
  • Serve the meat with a delicious sauce: A well-made sauce can take a good steak or roast to the next level. Try a classic red wine sauce, a tangy chimichurri sauce, or a creamy mushroom sauce.
