2/3 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup 2% milk
3 large egg yolks, room temperature
1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional
1 pie shell (9 inches), baked
MERINGUE:
3 large egg whites, room temperature
1/4 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons sugar

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, place raisins and enough water to cover; bring to a boil. Remove from the heat; set aside. , In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch, salt, cloves and cinnamon. 1 ½ cups white sugar

1 pint sour cream

1 cup sour cream, heated to lukewarm and cooled
2 1/2 teaspoons dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water
2 tablespoons soft butter
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
3 cups flour
2 tablespoons additional soft butter
1/3 cup sugar
1 -1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons soft butter
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 -2 tablespoon hot water

Steps:

  • Heat sour cream to lukewarm and cool some.
  • Mix yeast and 1/4 cup warm water to proof.
