Number Of Ingredients 10

1 package (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water (110° to 115°)
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 large egg
2-1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
2 teaspoons sesame seeds

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add the sour cream, sugar, salt, baking soda, egg and 1-1/3 cups flour. Beat on medium for 3 minutes. Stir in Swiss cheese and remaining flour. Do not knead. , Spread batter into four greased 5-3/4x3x2-in. loaf pans. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. 1 slice rye bread, cut into cubes
1 pound ground beef
1 large egg
1/4 cup milk
1/2 onion, grated on the large holes of a box grater
1 1/4 cups shredded Swiss cheese (about 5 ounces)
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
1 cup drained sauerkraut
Russian or Thousand Island dressing, for topping
Chopped fresh parsley, for topping
Potato chips and pickles, for serving

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Put the corned beef in a food processor and pulse until finely ground; remove to a medium bowl. Add the bread to the food processor and pulse until fine; add to the corned beef. Add the ground beef, egg, milk, onion, 3/4 cup cheese, 1/4 teaspoon salt and a few grinds of pepper.   • Transfer the meatloaves to plates and top with Russian dressing and parsley. Serve with potato chips and pickles.

1 can (18 oz) Progresso™ Recipe Starters™ fire roasted tomato cooking sauce
2 sticks (1 oz each) string cheese*
1 lb extra-lean (at least 93%) ground beef
1 egg
1/4 cup sliced green onions (4 medium)

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. In large bowl, stir bread crumbs and 1 cup of the cooking sauce until well mixed; let stand 5 minutes.
  • 2. Meanwhile, cut twelve 1/2-inch pieces from cheese sticks (store remaining portion of cheese stick for another use). Set aside. Add beef, egg, green onions, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper to bread crumb mixture until well mixed.

1 cup dry bread stuffing mix
⅔ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 ½ tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
