Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before you start baking, make sure you have all your ingredients and equipment ready. This will help you stay organized and avoid any mishaps.
  • Use Good Quality Chocolate: The chocolate you use will have a big impact on the flavor of your cookies. Look for high-quality chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 70%. You can use dark chocolate, semisweet chocolate, or even white chocolate, depending on your preference.
  • Don't Overmix the Dough: Overmixing the dough will make your cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the Dough: Chilling the dough before baking will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the Cookies at the Right Temperature: The temperature of your oven will also affect the texture of your cookies. Bake the cookies at the temperature specified in the recipe.
  • Don't Overbake the Cookies: Overbaking the cookies will make them dry and crumbly. Bake the cookies just until the edges are set and the centers are still slightly soft.
