4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 cup heavy whipping cream
½ cup chicken broth
½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
2 ounces cream cheese, softened

  • Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  • Season chicken breasts with oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper.
  • Cook the chicken breasts on preheated grill until no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, 5 to 6 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

Stir flour through the butter mixture; cook and stir until flour is incorporated, about 1 minute more. Pour heavy cream and chicken broth into the saucepan; stir. Continue cooking until the mixture thickens, 3 to 5 minutes. Add Parmesan cheese and cream cheese to the saucepan; cook, stirring occasionally, until the cheese is melted into the sauce, about 5 minutes.
  • Plate the chicken breasts. Spoon sauce over the chicken. Serve extra sauce on the side.

Roasted Garlic Dipping Sauce image

Yum yum yum. If you like garlic you will love this. If you don't usually like garlic, you might like this because the garlic is roasted, the flavor mellows and has a sweeter taste (like caramelized). Sour cream may be substituted with plain yogurt to cut some calories. This is great for dipping veggies such as artichokes, asparagus, or whatever, it's really versatile.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: The fresher the ingredients, the better the sauce will taste. Fresh garlic is essential for a flavorful sauce, but you can also use other fresh herbs and spices to taste, such as parsley, basil, or oregano.
  • Don't overcook the garlic: Overcooked garlic can taste bitter. Sauté the garlic in a little bit of olive oil until it is fragrant and golden brown, then remove it from the heat.
  • Use a good quality mayonnaise: The mayonnaise is the base of the sauce, so it's important to use a good quality brand. Look for a mayonnaise that is made with real eggs and oil.
  • Adjust the seasonings to taste: The amount of salt, pepper, and lemon juice that you add to the sauce is a matter of personal preference. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasonings until it reaches your desired flavor.
  • Serve the sauce immediately: The sauce is best served immediately after it is made. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, but the flavor will be best if you serve it fresh.

Conclusion:

Mom's Wicked Garlic Dipping Sauce is a delicious and versatile sauce that can be used with a variety of dishes. It is perfect for dipping chicken, pork, vegetables, or bread. The sauce is also great as a marinade or dressing. If you are looking for a flavorful and easy-to-make sauce, Mom's Wicked Garlic Dipping Sauce is the perfect recipe for you.
