YOSHIDA TYPE SAUCE

Yoshida Type Sauce image

This sauce is similar to the Yoshida sauce that can be found at costco and other stores. Note that this is not an exact copy but a very similar taste that can be made with ingredients that can be found in your kitchen and not a laboratory.

Time 15m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 lb lean ground beef
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
1/2 cup Yoshida gourmet sauce
1 (8 ounce) can pineapple rings or 4 fresh pineapple rings
4 slices cheddar cheese or 4 slices swiss cheese
4 hamburger buns

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, combine beef, pepper, and 1/4 cup Gourmet Sauce.
  • Shape into 4 patties.
  • Grill burgers to desired doneness.
  • Grill pineapple rings then baste burgers and pineapple with remaining 1/4 cup sauce during last 1-2 minutes of grilling.
  • Place cheese on burgers, top each with a slice of pineapple and serve on a bun.

Tips:

  • To make the best teriyaki sauce, use high-quality ingredients. Look for a good soy sauce, mirin, and sake. Fresh ginger and garlic will also add a lot of flavor.
  • Don't boil the teriyaki sauce. Boiling will cause the sauce to lose its flavor and become too thick. Instead, simmer the sauce over low heat until it has thickened slightly.
  • Use a variety of vegetables in your teriyaki stir-fry. Some good options include broccoli, carrots, bell peppers, and snow peas.
  • If you're using chicken or tofu in your stir-fry, be sure to marinate it in the teriyaki sauce for at least 30 minutes before cooking. This will help the meat or tofu absorb the flavor of the sauce.
  • Serve your teriyaki stir-fry over rice or noodles. You can also serve it with a side of steamed vegetables.

Conclusion:

Teriyaki sauce is a versatile and delicious sauce that can be used in a variety of dishes. It's perfect for stir-fries, marinades, and even as a dipping sauce. Try experimenting with different recipes and ingredients to find your favorite way to enjoy teriyaki sauce.
