MUSHROOM CRESCENT SNACKS
Steps:
- Heat oven to 375 degrees. Sauté mushrooms and butter. Stir in garlic powder, onion, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce; cook until liquid evaporates. Set aside. Unroll dinner roll dough onto sheet pan, but do not separate triangles. Press/roll dough into 13X9 inch rectangle, firmly press perforations to seal. Spread cream cheese over dough. Top with mushroom mixture. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake @375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes. Cut into shapes and serve.
Tips:
- Prep the Mushrooms Right: Clean and finely chop the mushrooms. Smaller pieces cook faster and distribute flavor evenly.
- Use Fresh Herbs: Fresh herbs, like parsley, thyme, or chives, add a burst of flavor. If using dried herbs, use half the amount.
- Don't Overcook the Mushrooms: Cook the mushrooms until they are tender but still have a slight bite. Overcooking makes them rubbery.
- Use Good Quality Crescent Rolls: Look for crescent rolls that are made with real butter for the best flavor.
- Don't Overfill the Rolls: Overfilling can make the rolls difficult to seal and can cause them to burst open.
- Bake the Rolls Until Golden Brown: Bake the rolls until they are golden brown and flaky. This ensures that the filling is cooked through and the rolls are crispy.
Conclusion:
Mushroom crescent snacks are a delicious and easy appetizer that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a crowd-pleasing snack that is perfect for any occasion.
