Tips:

  • Use a variety of noodles. Different noodles will give your kugel a different texture and flavor. You can use egg noodles, pasta, or even rice noodles.
  • Don't overcook the noodles. Noodles that are too soft will make your kugel mushy. Cook the noodles according to the package directions, or until they are al dente.
  • Use a generous amount of cheese. Cheese is what makes kugel so rich and delicious. Use a good quality cheese that melts well, such as cheddar, mozzarella, or Parmesan.
  • Add some vegetables. Vegetables will add color, flavor, and nutrients to your kugel. You can use any vegetables that you like, such as broccoli, carrots, or zucchini.
  • Season your kugel well. Salt and pepper are essential, but you can also add other spices and herbs to your taste. Some popular options include garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  • Bake your kugel until it is golden brown and bubbly. This will ensure that your kugel is cooked through and has a nice crust.
