Tips for Preparing Orange Pineapple Pudding:

  • Choose ripe and juicy oranges and fresh pineapple for the best flavor.
  • Use a serrated knife to cut the oranges and pineapple into thin slices, as this will help them cook evenly.
  • For a smoother texture, blend or puree the orange and pineapple mixture before adding it to the milk and sugar mixture.
  • Be sure to whisk the milk and sugar mixture constantly over medium heat until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon, as this will prevent the pudding from curdling.
  • Once the pudding has thickened, remove it from the heat and stir in the butter and vanilla extract for added flavor and richness.
  • Pour the pudding into individual serving dishes or a large serving bowl and let it cool slightly before refrigerating for at least 2 hours, or until chilled and set.
  • Serve the pudding chilled with whipped cream, fresh fruit, or crumbled cookies for an extra special dessert.
