You can leave out the vodka and make this recipe kid friendly. This is a super drink for a slow Sunday afternoon, especially with a cookout. I pour this into a large thermal carafe and place it in a cooler when we go camping or spend a day at the lake.Bon appetit! --

Tips for Making a Refreshing Orange Slush:

- Choose the right type of oranges: Selecting juicy and flavorful oranges is crucial for creating a delicious orange slush. Look for varieties like navel, Valencia, or blood oranges known for their sweetness and vibrant flavor. - Freeze your oranges beforehand: Freezing the oranges before blending ensures a slushy consistency. Cut the oranges into wedges or segments, then spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze for at least 2 hours or overnight. - Add other fruits for extra flavor: To enhance the flavor of your orange slush, consider adding other frozen fruits like strawberries, blueberries, or mangoes. These fruits add a delightful burst of color and additional nutrients to your slush. - Use fresh orange juice: Using freshly squeezed orange juice amplifies the natural flavor of your slush. If you don't have fresh oranges, opt for store-bought 100% orange juice without added sugar or preservatives. - Adjust the sweetness to your preference: The sweetness of your orange slush can be tailored to your liking. Adjust the amount of sugar or honey according to your taste preferences. You can also use natural sweeteners like stevia or monk fruit extract for a healthier option. - Experiment with different garnishes: Garnish your orange slush with a variety of toppings to make it visually appealing and even more delicious. Some popular garnishes include orange slices, whipped cream, chopped nuts, or mint leaves.

Conclusion: Orange Slush - A Refreshing Treat for Any Occasion:

The orange slush is a versatile and delightful beverage that can be enjoyed all year round.
