Tips:

  • Choose the right pasta. Short pastas, like penne, shells, or rotini, are best for this recipe. They will hold the sauce well and won't get lost in the mix.
  • Cook the pasta al dante. This means cooking it until it is just barely tender. It should still have a slight bite to it.
  • Use a good quality ham. The ham is the star of this dish, so make sure you use a good quality ham that you enjoy the taste of.
  • Don't be afraid to add other ingredients. This recipe is a great base, but you can add other ingredients to taste. Some popular additions include mushrooms, peas, and bell peppers.
  • Serve immediately. This dish is best served immediately after it is made. The sauce will thicken as it stands, so if you wait too long to serve it, it will be too thick.

Conclusion:

Pasta with ham and sour cream is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. It is also a great way to use up leftover ham. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can have a delicious and satisfying meal on the table in no time.
