This was the first attempt at making the dog homemade treats. She was hesitant at first but she ended up loving them. Nik tried them and said they certainly were too bland for humans :)

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Place all ingredients (except water) in a bowl and mix well. Add water as needed to combine ingredients.
- Flour a work surface and roll dough out to 1/4" thickness. Cut with dog cookie cutters. Place on greased cookie sheet. What ever dough is left can be placed as drop type cookies.
- Bake for 20 minutes (if you want a really hard cookie, bake for 5-10 minutes longer).
- Yield will vary depending on size of cookie cutters.
Tips:
- Choose the right pumpkin puree: Make sure to use unsweetened, pure pumpkin puree. Avoid pumpkin pie filling, which contains added sugar and spices.
- Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing will make the treats tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Chill the dough before baking: Chilling the dough will help the treats hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much in the oven.
- Bake the treats until they are firm: The treats should be firm to the touch when they are done baking. If they are still soft, bake them for a few minutes longer.
- Let the treats cool completely before serving: The treats will be easier to handle and will taste better if you let them cool completely before serving.
Conclusion:
These peanut butter and pumpkin dog treats are a healthy and delicious snack for your furry friend. They are made with all-natural ingredients and are free from artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives. These treats are also easy to make and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
