1/2 cup margarine
1/4 cup baking cocoa
1 cup water
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda (heaping)
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups peanut butter, melted
1/2 cup margarine
1/4 cup baking cocoa
3 cups confectioners' sugar
6 tablespoons buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup peanut butter

Steps:

  • Combine margarine, baking cocoa,water, eggs, and buttermilk in sauce pan mix well.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring often, remove from heat.
  • Add sugar, flour, vanilla, baking soda and salt, beat well.
  • Pour into greased and floured 9 by 13 cake pan.
  • Bake at 350 for 30 ninutes, cool.
  • Spread with melted peanut butter.
  • Chill until firm.
  • Combine margarine and baking cocoa in sauce pan, bring to a boil.
  • Add confectioners sugar, buttermilk, vanilla and peanut butter.
  • Beat until smooth,Pour over cake.

2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ cup milk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup water
½ cup butter
½ cup vegetable oil
½ cup peanut butter
½ cup butter
½ cup peanut butter
⅓ cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 ¾ cups confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a baking sheet.
  • Whisk flour, white sugar, and baking soda together in a bowl. Beat 1/2 cup milk, eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract into flour mixture using an electric mixer on low until smooth.
  • Cook and stir water, 1/2 cup butter, vegetable oil, and 1/2 cup peanut butter together in a saucepan over medium heat until smooth, about 5 minutes. Stir peanut butter mixture into flour mixture until batter is well mixed; pour onto the prepared baking sheet.

  • Combine the cake ingredients and mix until smooth.

  • Heat in a saucepan 1/4 cup of cocoa, powdered sugar, sour milk, butter, and vanilla (you can sour the milk with vinegar, add about half a tsp of vinegar to the milk and it should thicken you may need a dab more). Mix this until smooth and comes to a boil.
  • Let cool for a few minutes... Pour and spread over the peanut butter layer.
  • Cool and keep refrigerated.
