Tips:

  • Use ripe pears: The riper the pears, the sweeter and more flavorful they will be in your salad.
  • Choose a firm cheese: Pecorino is a great choice because it has a salty, sharp flavor that complements the sweet pears. However, you can also use other firm cheeses like Parmesan or Manchego.
  • Toast the walnuts: Toasting the walnuts will bring out their flavor and make them more crunchy.
  • Use a light dressing: A simple vinaigrette or lemon-based dressing is all you need to dress this salad. A heavy dressing will overwhelm the delicate flavors of the pears and cheese.

Conclusion:

This pear and pecorino salad is a refreshing and flavorful salad that is perfect for a light lunch or dinner. The combination of sweet pears, salty cheese, crunchy walnuts, and tangy dressing is sure to please everyone at your table. So next time you're looking for a healthy and delicious salad, give this one a try.
