1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated lime zest
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 small jalapeno, seeded and chopped
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 -5 about 1-inch-thick halibut steaks (or swordfish steaks)
2 (15 ounce) cans whole new potatoes, drained

Steps:

1 ½ teaspoons freshly cracked black pepper, divided
1 ½ teaspoons sea salt, divided
½ cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup panko bread crumbs
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
¼ cup minced shallot
1 teaspoon minced serrano pepper
1 cup half-and-half
1 cup roughly chopped cilantro leaves
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
½ teaspoon sea salt
¼ cup canola oil

Steps:

  • Season halibut fillets all over with 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper and 1 teaspoon sea salt.
