SLOW COOKER BABY BACK RIBS

Slow Cooker Baby Back Ribs image

These are the best I've had, short of the actual grilling method of course! This is a very simple recipe that I came up with a few years ago. It's not rocket science, just ribs cooked in the slow cooker and finished in the oven. This is what I do when I want ribs during the week and have to work all day. I'm eating them within a half-hour of getting home, and they turn out perfect every time!

Tips:

  • Choose the right ribs: Baby back ribs are the most popular choice for Pepsi ribs, but you can also use spare ribs. Baby back ribs are leaner and have a more uniform shape, while spare ribs are meatier and have a more irregular shape.
  • Use a good quality Pepsi: Not all Pepsis are created equal. Look for a Pepsi that is made with real sugar, rather than high fructose corn syrup. This will give your ribs a better flavor.
  • Don't overcook the ribs: Ribs should be cooked until they are tender, but not fall-off-the-bone tender. Overcooked ribs will be dry and tough.
  • Let the ribs rest before serving: This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the ribs, making them more flavorful.
  • Serve the ribs with your favorite sides: Some popular sides for Pepsi ribs include coleslaw, potato salad, and baked beans.

Conclusion:

Pepsi ribs are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. Whether you are having a backyard barbecue or a family dinner, Pepsi ribs are sure to be a hit. So next time you are looking for a new recipe to try, give Pepsi ribs a try. You won't be disappointed.
