WHOLE WHEAT OATMEAL COOKIES WITH EVERYTHING

Whole Wheat Oatmeal Cookies With Everything image

Based on Quaker Oats' Vanishing Oatmeal Cookies Recipe. I made them a few times, and I never thought they were quite good enough. They weren't fluffy enough and they didn't have nearly enough oatmeal! I found out one day when I ran out of white flour, that whole wheat tastes great in oatmeal cookies. I like to pulse the oats in the food processor a few times so they're extra fluffy, but instant oatmeal works very well.

Tips:

  • For the best results, use old-fashioned rolled oats. Quick oats or steel-cut oats will not produce the same texture.
  • Be sure to measure your oats correctly. Too much oats will make the cookies dry and crumbly, while too little oats will make them too soft and chewy.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing will result in tough cookies.
  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies at the correct temperature and for the correct amount of time. Overbaking will make the cookies dry and crumbly, while underbaking will make them too soft and chewy.
  • Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

Conclusion:

Quaker Oats Oatmeal Cookies are a classic recipe that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With their chewy texture, sweet flavor, and hearty oats, these cookies are perfect for any occasion. Whether you're enjoying them as a snack, dessert, or breakfast, Quaker Oats Oatmeal Cookies are sure to hit the spot.
