THE PERFECT MARGARITA
Mastering the margarita requires a certain amount of practice, but once you dial-in your perfect ratio, it's a really easy cocktail to replicate. The classic recipe is 3 parts tequila, 2 parts triple sec, and 1 part freshly squeezed lime juice, and you should probably start off pretty close to that, but my personal favorite proportions are 4-3-2.

PARKER'S FAMOUS MARGARITAS
This is the signature drink at my in-law's home. My father-in-law developed a taste for margaritas made from scratch during the summer they spent in Zihuatanejo during the 1960s. After decades of tinkering he has arrived at this foolproof recipe for the ultimate Mexican cocktail.

Steps:
- Rim your marg glass with a lime wedge, then dip in salt.Add all ingredients in a shaker, or a mason jar with lid will work, and shake till blended. Pour into glass and garnish with lime wedge.
- If you like, you can chill your glass in the freezer for 10 minutes, or add a few cubes of ice to the rest of ingredients while shaking, being sure to strain it when you pour into glass. Also, if the marg is to strong for ya, bump it down to 1 shot of tequila.

THE REAL CADILLAC MARGARITA
There is another recipe for a Cadillac on this site, it is not the real deal. The other recipe has you adding sweet & sour mix into it, but a Cadillac should never, EVER contain sweet & sour or any other "mix" as it is a purists' margarita. If you were a bartender and had someone ask you for a Cadillac, I can assure you that if you put sweet & sour in it, they would not be returning to your bar. This is the real deal Cadillac, served in a martini glass, shaken like a martini.

Tips:
- Use fresh ingredients: Fresh limes, lemons, and oranges will give your margaritas the best flavor. If you can, try to find organic ingredients.
- Choose a good tequila: The tequila is the most important ingredient in a margarita, so it's important to choose a good one. Look for a tequila that is made from 100% blue agave and has a smooth, clean flavor.
- Use the right amount of lime juice: The lime juice is what gives margaritas their signature sour flavor. Be sure to use enough lime juice to balance out the sweetness of the other ingredients.
- Add some sweetness: Margaritas are traditionally made with simple syrup, but you can also use other sweeteners, such as agave nectar or honey.
- Garnish your margaritas: A garnish can add a touch of elegance to your margaritas. Try using a lime wedge, a sprig of mint, or a slice of orange.
Conclusion:
Making margaritas at home is easy and fun. With a few simple ingredients, you can create a delicious and refreshing cocktail that is perfect for any occasion. So next time you're looking for a great drink to enjoy, give one of these margarita recipes a try. You won't be disappointed!
