Steps:
- Stir the canola oil, root beer, Worcestershire sauce, teriyaki sauce, steak sauce, garlic salt, onion salt, black pepper, basil, thyme, and rosemary together in a bowl.
- Pierce the steaks in several places on both sides; arrange in a single layer in a shallow non-reactive dish. Pour the marinade over the steaks, flipping the meat to coat both sides. Allow to marinate in refrigerator 3 to 4 hours, flipping meat once halfway through.
- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat, and lightly oil the grate.
- Remove the steaks from the marinade and shake off excess moisture; discard the remaining marinade.
- Cook the steaks until they are beginning to firm, and are hot and slightly pink in the center, 5 to 7 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 140 degrees F (60 degrees C) for medium.

Steps:
- Preheat grill for high heat.
- Use a fork to poke holes all over the surface of the steaks, and place steaks in a large baking dish. In a bowl, mix together beer, teriyaki sauce, and brown sugar. Pour sauce over steaks, and let sit about 5 minutes. Sprinkle with 1/2 the seasoned salt, pepper, and garlic powder; set aside for 10 minutes. Turn steaks over, sprinkle with remaining seasoned salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and continue marinating for 10 more minutes.
- Remove steaks from marinade. Pour marinade into a small saucepan, bring to a boil, and cook for several minutes.
- Lightly oil the grill grate. Grill steaks for 7 minutes per side, or to desired doneness. During the last few minutes of grilling, baste steaks with boiled marinade to enhance the flavor and ensure juiciness.

Tips:
- Choose the right cut of steak. A flank steak, skirt steak, or hanger steak are all good options for this marinade.
- Make sure the steak is at room temperature before marinating. This will help the marinade penetrate the meat more evenly.
- Use a glass or ceramic dish to marinate the steak. Metal dishes can react with the marinade and alter the flavor of the steak.
- Cover the steak completely with the marinade. If the steak is not completely covered, it will not marinate evenly.
- Marinate the steak for at least 30 minutes, but no longer than 24 hours. Over-marinating can toughen the steak.
- When you're ready to cook the steak, drain the marinade and pat the steak dry.
- Cook the steak over high heat for a few minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired doneness.
- Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Conclusion:
Root beer steak marinade is a delicious and easy way to add flavor to your next steak dinner. The marinade is made with simple ingredients that you probably already have on hand, and it can be used on any type of steak. Just be sure to marinate the steak for at least 30 minutes, but no longer than 24 hours, and cook it over high heat for a few minutes per side. Your steak will be tender, juicy, and flavorful.
