SAUCY LITTLE MEAT LOAVES
My precious little Mother made this when we were growing up in Fair Oaks California. We loved it, the only problem she usually served it with canned peas which we hated and tried to sneak to the dog when no one was looking....LOL Sorry Daddy!! NOT! She was and still is to this day a wonderful cook at the age of 82. God bless...

Tips:
- Choose the right meat: Ground beef is the most common meat used in meatloaf, but you can also use ground turkey, chicken, pork, or lamb. If you're using a leaner meat, like turkey or chicken, you may want to add some extra fat, such as butter or olive oil, to help keep the meatloaf moist.
- Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: The better the ingredients you use, the better your meatloaf will taste. Make sure to use fresh ground meat, eggs, and vegetables, and avoid using processed or pre-packaged ingredients.
- Season the meatloaf well: Don't be afraid to use plenty of seasonings in your meatloaf. Common seasonings include salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. You can also add other herbs and spices to taste, such as thyme, rosemary, or sage.
- Mix the meatloaf thoroughly: Make sure to mix the meatloaf ingredients thoroughly so that they are evenly distributed. This will help the meatloaf to cook evenly.
- Don't overmix the meatloaf: Overmixing the meatloaf can make it tough. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined.
- Form the meatloaf into a loaf shape: Use your hands to form the meatloaf mixture into a loaf shape. You can also use a meatloaf pan to help you shape the loaf.
- Bake the meatloaf at a high temperature: Preheat your oven to a high temperature, such as 375 degrees Fahrenheit, before baking the meatloaf. This will help the meatloaf to brown and crust on the outside while remaining moist on the inside.
- Let the meatloaf rest before slicing: After the meatloaf is done baking, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. This will help the juices to redistribute throughout the meatloaf, making it easier to slice and serve.
Conclusion:
Meatloaf is a classic comfort food that is easy to make and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With a few simple tips, you can make a delicious and moist meatloaf that will be a hit at your next meal. So next time you're looking for a hearty and satisfying meal, give meatloaf a try. You won't be disappointed.
