Cut square in 1/2 inch with fluted pastry wheel. FILLING: Crumble almond paste in bowl. Add egg yolk, brown sugar and milk. Beat until well mixed. Spread filling over 1 pastry half. Tips:

  • Use high-quality chocolate. The better the chocolate, the better the sauce will be. Look for chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 70%.
  • Don't overheat the chocolate. Overheating can cause the chocolate to seize up and become grainy. Heat the chocolate gently over low heat, stirring constantly.
  • Add a little bit of salt to the chocolate sauce. Salt helps to balance out the sweetness of the chocolate and makes the sauce more complex.
  • Serve the chocolate sauce warm. Warm chocolate sauce is more pourable and has a richer flavor than cold chocolate sauce.
  • Garnish the chocolate sauce with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or chopped nuts. This will make the sauce look and taste even more special.

Conclusion:

Chocolate sauce is a versatile dessert topping that can be used on a variety of desserts, from cakes and pies to ice cream and fruit. It's also a delicious addition to coffee or hot chocolate. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make a delicious chocolate sauce that will impress your friends and family.
