SEAFOAM SALAD - DESSERT
This yummy dessert/salad has been in the family for ages. Works just as well with sugar free jello and light products. I usually double this recipe, and serve it as a nice light dessert or side salad whenever the weather warms. Great for potlucks! Enjoy! Note: Cook time is chill time.

Steps:
- 1. Drain pears and heat pear juice to boiling. Dissolve jello in pear juice. Mash cream cheese with 3 tbsp milk until smooth. Stir into hot Jello. Cool and put in refrigerator until slightly thickened. Mash pears with a fork, fold into jello. Fold in cool whip. Put in the refrigerator until set. I put it in a nice decorative bowl and enjoy!
Tips:
- Use a sharp knife to dice the celery and onion as small as possible. This will help the salad to have a smooth and creamy texture.
- If you're using canned crab meat, be sure to drain it well and flake it with a fork before adding it to the salad.
- For a richer flavor, use half mayonnaise and half sour cream in the dressing.
- If you're watching your calories, you can use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise in the dressing.
- Seafoam salad is best served chilled, so be sure to refrigerate it for at least an hour before serving.
Conclusion:
Seafoam salad is a classic side dish that is perfect for any potluck or party. It's easy to make, delicious, and always a crowd-pleaser. So next time you're looking for a simple and refreshing dish to serve, give seafoam salad a try.
