Time 35m

Yield 4 to 5 servings

Number Of Ingredients 13

6 medium (about 2 pounds) russet potatoes, cleaned
2 tablespoons grapeseed oil
2 tablespoons freshly chopped rosemary
1 tablespoon freshly chopped thyme leaves
3 tablespoons chopped garlic
2 tablespoons Big Daddy Seasoning, recipe follows
Freshly chopped parsley leaves, for garnish
1/2 cup smokey paprika
1/4 cup granulated onion powder
1/4 cup granulated garlic powder
3 tablespoons seasoned salt
1/4 cup fresh cracked pepper
1/2 cup kosher salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Cut potatoes with a mandoline.
  • In a large bowl, combine cut potatoes and grapeseed oil. Add rosemary, thyme, garlic and Big Daddy Seasoning. Toss to coat.
  • Place in a single layer on a greased baking sheet. Bake uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes or until tender, turning once. Remove from oven and toss with chopped parsley.
  • In a large bowl, mix ingredients together.

Tips:

  • Choose the right potatoes: Russet potatoes are the best choice for oven-baked fries because they have a high starch content, which makes them crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
  • Cut the potatoes evenly: This will help them cook evenly. Aim for fries that are about 1/2-inch thick and 3-4 inches long.
  • Soak the potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before baking: This will help to remove excess starch and make the fries extra crispy.
  • Toss the potatoes with oil and seasonings before baking: This will help them to brown and develop flavor.
  • Bake the fries at a high temperature: 425 degrees Fahrenheit is ideal. This will help them to get crispy on the outside without overcooking the inside.
  • Flip the fries halfway through baking: This will help them to cook evenly.
  • Serve the fries hot with your favorite dipping sauce: Ketchup, ranch dressing, or honey mustard are all popular choices.

Conclusion:

Oven-baked fries are a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. By following these tips, you can make the best oven-baked fries possible. So next time you're looking for a tasty and satisfying snack or side dish, give oven-baked fries a try!
