1 tablespoon olive oil, or as needed
2 onions, diced
2 red bell peppers, diced
2 tablespoons minced garlic

Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of pork: Pork shoulder (also known as pork butt) is the best cut for pulled pork because it is a tough, fatty cut that becomes tender and flavorful when cooked slowly.
  • Use a flavorful rub: A good rub will help to create a delicious crust on the pork. Some popular ingredients for rubs include brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder.
  • Cook the pork slowly and low: Pulled pork needs to be cooked for a long time at a low temperature in order to become tender. The ideal cooking temperature is between 200 and 225 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Use a smoker or a slow cooker: You can cook pulled pork in a smoker or in a slow cooker. Both methods will produce tender and flavorful pork.
  • Shred the pork when it is done cooking: Once the pork is cooked, use two forks to shred it into small pieces.
  • Serve the pulled pork with your favorite sides: Pulled pork can be served with a variety of sides, such as coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans, and cornbread.

Conclusion:

Pulled pork is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It is perfect for parties, potlucks, and family gatherings. With a little planning and effort, you can make delicious pulled pork at home.
