I got this recipe from 2002 Betty Crocker "Casseroles and Slow Cooker Meals" booklet (they used to sell them by the check stands at grocery stores). I used sherry and Swiss cheese in mine. My family deemed it a 'keeper'.

The Shrimp and Pea Pod Casserole is a delectable dish that combines the flavors of shrimp, pea pods, and a creamy sauce. It is a versatile dish that can be served as an appetizer, main course, or side dish. Here are some tips and conclusion for making the perfect Shrimp and Pea Pod Casserole:

Tips:

  • Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor. If using frozen shrimp, thaw them completely before cooking.
  • Choose pea pods that are bright green and crisp. Avoid pea pods that are yellowed or wilted.
  • Make sure the sauce is thick enough to coat the shrimp and pea pods. If the sauce is too thin, it will not hold its shape in the casserole.
