SLOW COOKER SWEET AND SOUR PORK
A delicious crock pot recipe -I believe it originally came from a cooking magazine, but I'm not sure which one or what month/year. The sauce is flavorful and mild--not obnoxiously sweet like you might imagine Chinese-food type sweet and sour. We served it over rice--yummy

Tips:
- Choose the right cut of pork: Pork shoulder is the best cut for this dish, as it is tough enough to withstand the long cooking time and becomes fall-apart tender when cooked properly.
- Use a good quality sweet and sour sauce: The sauce is the key to this dish, so make sure you use a good quality one. You can either make your own or buy a store-bought sauce.
- Don't overcook the pork: The pork should be cooked until it is fall-apart tender, but not so long that it becomes dry. The best way to check if the pork is done is to insert a fork into it. If the fork goes in easily, the pork is done.
- Serve the pork with rice: Rice is the traditional accompaniment to this dish, but you can also serve it with noodles or vegetables.
Conclusion:
Slow-cooked sweet and sour pork is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. With just a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a flavorful and satisfying meal that the whole family will enjoy.
