SNICKERS/PEANUT BUTTER/OATMEAL COOKIES
I was experimenting with my peanut butter cookie recipe and this is the result. As I haven't shared them with anyone yet for an opinion, you'll have to take my word for them being soft, chewy and flavorful.

Steps:
- Place margarine / butter, peanut butter and snickers bar pieces in a microwavable mixing bowl. Microwave on high for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes. Remove from microwave and stir until smooth and creamy.
- add sugars and vanilla. Stir until smooth. Test mixture for temperature and if not too hot, add eggs and mix well. (If mixture is still hot, wait a few minutes, so as not to cause eggs to set up)
- add flour, walnuts and oatmeal, stirring as adding until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
- Place one level tablespoon of mixture onto a lightly greased cookie baking sheet. Leave approximately one inch between cookies as they will spread out while baking. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until tops are lightly brown.
- Allow cookies to cool completely before removing them from the cookie sheet.

Steps:
- Preheat oven 350°F.
- Flatten 1 tablespoon of cookie dough and place a snicker in the middle of each one.
- Wrap the dough around the snicker making a ball out of it.
- Line cookie sheet with parchment paper for best results.
- Place cookie ball on cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes or until golden.
- Let cookies cool for 3 minutes and then place them on baking rack.
- *Optional* Snip off the corner of a plastic snack or sandwich ziplock bag and drizzle frosting on the top of the cookies.
- For an extra festive flair, tint frosting with food coloring.
Tips:
- Use room-temperature butter and eggs for optimal creaming and binding.
- Chill the cookie dough for at least 30 minutes before baking to prevent spreading.
- If you don't have a candy thermometer, you can check for the right consistency of the caramel by dropping a small amount into a glass of cold water. If it forms a soft ball, it's ready.
- Add the oats last to prevent them from becoming too mushy.
- Don't overmix the dough, as this can make the cookies tough.
- Space the cookies evenly apart on the baking sheet to allow for proper airflow and even baking.
Conclusion:
With its irresistible combination of chewy oatmeal, creamy caramel, and rich chocolate, these Snickers Oatmeal Cookies are a delightful treat that will satisfy your sweet cravings. Whether you're a fan of Snickers bars or simply love a good oatmeal cookie, this recipe is sure to become a favorite.
