Tips:

  • To achieve a perfectly moist and tender coffee cake, make sure all your ingredients are at room temperature before starting. This will allow them to combine evenly and create a smooth batter.
  • Use high-quality sour cream for the best flavor and texture. Full-fat sour cream will yield a richer, more decadent coffee cake.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can result in a tough, dense coffee cake. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • For a streusel topping that's extra crunchy and flavorful, use a combination of brown sugar and granulated sugar. The brown sugar will add a delicious caramelized flavor.
  • If you don't have a bundt pan, you can bake the coffee cake in a 9x13 inch baking pan. Just adjust the baking time accordingly - it will likely take a few minutes longer.

Conclusion:

This sour cream coffee cake is a delicious and versatile treat that's perfect for any occasion. With its moist texture, sweet streusel topping, and tangy sour cream flavor, it's sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. Whether you're serving it for breakfast, brunch, or dessert, this coffee cake is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
