Add remaining batter and top with the rest of the pecan mixture. 7. Set on the middle rack of the oven and bake for about 60 minutes, or until a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve warm.

Tips

  • For a moist and fluffy cake, use room temperature ingredients. This will help the batter to evenly mix and rise.
  • Be careful not to overmix the batter. Overmixing can result in a tough, dense cake.
  • If you don't have sour cream, you can substitute plain yogurt or buttermilk. However, sour cream will give the cake a richer flavor.
  • To make sure the cake is cooked through, insert a toothpick into the center. If it comes out clean, the cake is done.
  • Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting it. This will help the frosting to set properly.

Conclusion

Sour cream coffee cake is a delicious and classic dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its moist crumb, tangy cream cheese frosting, and crunchy pecan topping, this cake is sure to be a hit. Whether you're serving it for breakfast, brunch, or dessert, sour cream coffee cake is a surefire way to please everyone at the table.
