Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup light mayonnaise
1/2 ounce Dijon mustard shopping list
1/2 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
1 ounce chipotle chile in adobo, pureed
1/4 ounce fresh garlic, minced
salt, to taste

Steps:

  • Combine mayonnaise, mustard, lime juice, chipotle and garlic. Add salt to taste. Cover and chill before sandwich preparation, or before using as a salad dressing.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, ripe tomatoes for the best flavor. Roma tomatoes are a good choice because they have fewer seeds and are less watery.
  • Roast the tomatoes before making the sauce. This concentrates their flavor and makes them sweeter.

  • Add spices such as cumin, coriander, and oregano to the sauce for extra flavor.
  • Simmer the sauce for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Taste the sauce and adjust the seasonings as needed.

Conclusion:

Southwest Chipotle Sauce is a delicious and versatile sauce that can be used on a variety of dishes. It is perfect for tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and quesadillas. It can also be used as a dip for chips or vegetables. This sauce is easy to make and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
