1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
1 boneless beef sirloin steak (1 pound), cut into thin strips
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
1/2 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons canola oil, divided
1 cup sliced fresh carrots
1 medium green pepper, julienned
1 cup sliced celery
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1 can (8 ounces) sliced water chestnuts, drained
1/2 cup sliced green onions
6 cups torn fresh spinach

  • Place soy sauce in a large resealable plastic bag; add steak. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for up to 2 hours. 2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
2 teaspoons canola oil, divided use
1 lb boneless sirloin steak, thinly sliced
1 lb packaged spinach
2 yellow bell peppers, thinly sliced
4 green onions, thinly sliced
2 garlic cloves, minced

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch and ginger until smooth; set aside.
  • Heat wok or large skillet over medium-high until a drop of water sizzles in pan. Add 1 tsp canola oil; swirl to coat.

1/4 c hoisin sauce
2 Tbsp soy sauce, low sodium
1 Tbsp water
2 tsp sesame oil
2 large garlic cloves, crushed
