Tasty Baking Hacks:
- Achieve an even bake by chilling the oatmeal cookies prior to putting them in the stove. This results in a chewier middle and crispy sides. - To make the taste of the oats come through more, toast them in a pan over medium heat for 5-7 minutes while stirring to avoid scorching. - To prevent over-browning, keep the cookies in the middle of the stove when they are cooking. This will maintain a consistent temperature, resulting in an even bake. - To keep the cookies warm and fresh, store them in an airtight container.
