Steps:

  • In a medium sauce pan whisk together sugar & cornstarch (do not turn on stove top yet). Whisk in cocoa & salt.

Tips:

  • Use good quality chocolate: The quality of the chocolate you use will greatly affect the taste of the pudding. Look for a chocolate that is at least 70% cacao content and has a rich, dark flavor.
  • Don't overheat the chocolate: When melting the chocolate, be careful not to overheat it. Overheated chocolate can become grainy and lose its flavor.
  • Whisk constantly: When cooking the pudding, whisk constantly to prevent it from curdling.
  • Chill the pudding before serving: Chilling the pudding before serving will help it to set and develop a thicker consistency.
  • Serve with your favorite toppings: Chocolate pudding is delicious served with a variety of toppings, such as whipped cream, ice cream, fresh berries, or chopped nuts.

Conclusion:

Stove top chocolate pudding is a classic dessert that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a rich, creamy, and delicious pudding that is perfect for any occasion. Whether you serve it warm or chilled, topped with your favorite toppings or simply on its own, chocolate pudding is sure to be a hit.
