Provided by Jill Cooks

Categories     Other Desserts

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 small packages vanilla tapioca pudding mix
1 large box strawberry jello
3 cups water
8 oz. tub cool whip
1 1/2 cups cut up fresh strawberries, or frozen thawed and drained

Steps:

  • 1. Mix pudding and jello with water and boil rapidly for 1 minute. Chill until thickened. Fold in Cool Whip and strawberries.
  • 2. Put into a 9x13 dish and chill until firm.

Tips:

  • To achieve the perfect tapioca pearl texture, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before cooking. This will help them to soften and cook evenly.
  • Use a heavy-bottomed pot to cook the tapioca pearls. This will help to prevent them from sticking to the bottom of the pot and burning.
  • Bring the tapioca pearls to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20-30 minutes, or until they are translucent and tender.
  • If you are using fresh strawberries, be sure to wash and hull them before adding them to the tapioca pudding.
  • For a richer flavor, use heavy cream instead of milk in the tapioca pudding.
  • Garnish the tapioca pudding with fresh strawberries, whipped cream, or a sprinkle of cinnamon before serving.

Conclusion:

Strawberry tapioca is a classic dessert that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With its creamy texture, sweet strawberry flavor, and chewy tapioca pearls, it is a delicious and refreshing treat that is perfect for any occasion. Whether you are looking for a simple weeknight dessert or a special occasion treat, strawberry tapioca is sure to hit the spot.
