Steps:
- Slice the bread in half lengthwise and place each half on a baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix together the butter, olive oil, basil, oregano, parmesan, minced garlic, salt and pepper. Mix it well.
- Spread the butter in a generous, even layer on each half of the French bread.
- Put the baking sheet underneath the broiler in the oven. Broil until it just starts to brown. Watch it closely because how fast it cooks is dependent on how hot your broiler is and how close your rack is to the heating element. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes.
- Devour.
THE BEST GARLIC BREAD
We went very classic with this garlic bread recipe-lots of butter and lots of garlic loaded onto warm, soft and pillowy French bread. You could make a light meal by rounding it out with a crisp green salad. Or serve it our favorite way-alongside your favorite red-sauce pasta.

Steps:
- Arrange a rack in the center of oven and preheat to 450 degrees F.
- Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, until the butter is golden and the garlic is very fragrant, about 3 minutes.
- Slice the bread in half lengthwise. Liberally brush the crust with the garlic butter. Turn the bread cut-side up. Slice each loaf crosswise at 2-inch intervals without cutting all the way through, making "pull-apart" garlic bread. Liberally brush the cut sides of the bread with more garlic butter, spreading any remaining garlic evenly over top. You should use all the garlic butter. Carefully transfer the bread to a rimmed baking sheet.
- Sprinkle the loaves with the Parmesan and a pinch of salt and bake until the edges of the bread are a deep golden brown, 10 to 15 minutes. Top with the parsley. Serve warm.

40-CLOVE GARLIC BREAD RECIPE BY TASTY
This easy-to-make, yet impressive garlic bread is hard not to love. In this recipe, forty cloves of garlic are drizzled with olive oil, salt and pepper, and roasted until they're soft and sweet. Then, mashed and mixed with softened butter and herbs. A sourdough bread boule is cross-hatched and then stuffed with mozzarella cheese, and lathered with our garlicky compound butter. Serve it up with some marinara sauce, or eat as is!

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place a sheet of foil on a small baking sheet and line another baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut ½ inch off the tops of the garlic heads and place on the baking sheet with the foil. Drizzle the garlic with the olive oil and season with 1 teaspoon salt and the black pepper. Place the tops back on each garlic bulb. Bring up the corners of the foil around the garlic, then roll closed to form a tight packet. Place in the oven and roast until the garlic is caramelized, about 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and let sit for 30 minutes, until cool enough to handle. Leave the oven on.
- Unwrap the foil packet and squeeze the heads to release the roasted garlic cloves into a medium bowl. Mash with a fork until a thick paste forms (some chunks are okay).
- Add the butter, parsley, oregano, and remaining ½ teaspoon salt and stir to combine.
- Using a serrated knife, carefully cut the bread into 1-inch-thick (2.54 cm) slices, stopping ½ inch (1.24 cm) from the bottom of the loaf to keep intact. Turn the loaf 90° and repeat cutting in the opposite direction.
- Place the loaf on the parchment-lined baking sheet and stuff the mozzarella between the bread slices. Spread the roasted garlic butter over the entire loaf.
- Place the loaf into the oven and bake until the cheese is melted and the top of the loaf is golden brown and crispy, 25-30 minutes.
- Remove the loaf from the oven and transfer to a serving platter. Grate the Parmesan cheese directly over the top. Serve hot.
- Enjoy!

DECADENT GARLIC BREAD
I got the basis of this from a Jamie Oliver episode. He put herbs, feta cheese and olive oil in a French canning jar for a present. It looked so good, but I thought to myself, I can go one better. (You can mix and match what you think would go well with this, like roasted bell pepper, or carmelized onion instead of the garlic... the sky's the limit) Let this sit for a week in the fridge and get some crusty bread and a spoon and it's really the most decadent garlic bread you could ever have.

Steps:
- This is all subject to your taste. On your clean cupboard sprinkle the black pepper, crushed red pepper, rosemary, thyme, fennel, and parsley.
- Make sure your feta is dry, pat it with a few paper towels if needed.
- Sprinkle the cheese over the herbs on the cupboard and gently press them all over the cheese.
- Get a clean canning jar, I like the French canning jars, they seal tight and they're very pretty.
- Take a third of your cheese and put it in the bottom of the jar and spread it out. Do not pack it down, you need little nooks and crannies. Then layer on a third of your roasted garlic (I'm sure you've removed it from the skin), then a third of the olives and repeat until it's all inches
- Take your olive oil and slowly drizzle it in so it takes up all the space between the cheese, garlic and olives and fill just to the top so everything is covered.
- Let it sit in the fridge for a week so the flavors can blend (I only lasted four days before I tried it). Serve on french bread, sliced baguettes, with a salad.
- Serving size varies on how much you like on your bread. I say about 10 people could have 5-6 appetizers from this amount.

Tips:
- Use fresh garlic: Fresh garlic has a stronger flavor than dried garlic, and it will give your garlic bread a more intense flavor.
- Don't be afraid to experiment with different types of bread: You can use a variety of breads to make garlic bread, including French bread, Italian bread, and even sourdough bread. The type of bread you use will affect the flavor and texture of your garlic bread.
- Use a generous amount of butter: Butter is essential for making garlic bread. It helps to brown the bread and gives it a rich, flavorful taste. Don't be afraid to use a lot of butter, especially if you want your garlic bread to be extra cheesy and gooey.
- Add some fresh herbs: Fresh herbs, such as parsley, basil, and oregano, can add a nice flavor to your garlic bread. Just be sure to chop them finely so that they don't overpower the other flavors in the dish.
- Bake your garlic bread until it is golden brown: The longer you bake your garlic bread, the crispier it will be. If you want your garlic bread to be soft and chewy, bake it for a shorter amount of time. You can also brush melted butter over the garlic bread when it comes out of the oven, which will help it to brown and crisp up.
Conclusion:
Garlic bread is a delicious and versatile side dish that can be served with a variety of meals. It is easy to make and can be customized to your own taste. Whether you like your garlic bread cheesy, garlicky, or herby, there is a recipe out there for you. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy side dish, give garlic bread a try.
