SUMMER BEER

Provided by Food Network

Yield 1 serving

Number Of Ingredients 5

ice cubes
1 bottle beer (go with a nice American brew in this one, such as Miller High Life)
9 oz. fresh lemonade
1-1/2 oz. vodka
lemon slice for garnish

Steps:

  • Add a good-sized handful of ice to a 24-ounce "big girl" beer glass. Add 8 ounces of the lemonade to the glass. Slowly, carefully, add the bottle of beer to the glass (go too fast and it's a mess). Add the vodka, then top it off with the last ounce of lemonade. Stir once, with a mighty long spoon. Squeeze the lemon slice over the top and drop it in.

Tips:

  • Choose the right beer: Not all beers are created equal. For summer beers, look for light, refreshing styles with low bitterness, such as pilsners, wheat beers, and session IPAs.
  • Keep your beer cold: Warm beer is never refreshing. Keep your summer beers chilled in the refrigerator or a cooler to ensure they're always ready to enjoy.
  • Garnish your drinks: Add a pop of color and flavor to your summer beers with garnishes like fresh fruit, herbs, and spices. Slices of lemon or lime, sprigs of mint or basil, and a sprinkle of chili powder or cinnamon can all help to enhance the flavor of your beer.
  • Get creative with your recipes: There are endless possibilities when it comes to summer beer recipes. Experiment with different flavors, ingredients, and techniques to create your own unique drinks.

Conclusion:

Summer is the perfect time to enjoy a cold, refreshing beer. With so many delicious summer beer recipes to choose from, there's sure to be one that's perfect for you. So fire up the grill, invite some friends over, and raise a glass to the season of sun, sand, and surf.
