Number Of Ingredients 4

1 stick cold Margarine (not butter)
1 C Flour
1 T Whiskey
1 T Whipping Cream

Steps:

  • Cut the flour and butter with a pastry cutter until it is the texture of cornmeal. Add whiskey and cream. Mix well. Adjust with more flour, whiskey and or cream until silky texture-not sticky. Roll out and cut into cresent and oval shapes with a round cookie cutter. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Tips:

  • Mise en place: Before you start baking, make sure you have all of your ingredients and equipment ready to go. This will help you stay organized and avoid any mishaps.
  • Use high-quality ingredients: The better the ingredients you use, the better your cookies will taste. Look for fresh, organic ingredients whenever possible.
  • Follow the recipe carefully: Don't skip any steps or substitute ingredients unless you know what you're doing. Otherwise, you may end up with cookies that don't turn out the way you expected.
  • Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing can make the cookies tough. Mix the dough just until it comes together, then stop.
  • Chill the dough before baking: Chilling the dough helps the cookies hold their shape and prevents them from spreading too much in the oven.
  • Bake the cookies at the right temperature: The temperature of your oven can make a big difference in the way your cookies turn out. Make sure your oven is preheated to the correct temperature before you start baking.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before storing them: This will help them keep their shape and flavor.

Conclusion:

Swedish Christmas cookies are a delicious and festive treat that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With a little planning and effort, you can easily make these cookies at home. Just be sure to follow the tips above to ensure that your cookies turn out perfect. So next time you're looking for a special holiday treat, give one of these Swedish Christmas cookie recipes a try.
