AVOCADO SMOOTHIE RECIPE (SINH Tố Bơ)

Avocado Smoothie Recipe (Sinh Tố Bơ) image

This super easy avocado smoothie recipe will give you an almost sinful dessert with the richness of and extra texture formed by frozen Haas avocado slices.

Provided by Huy Vu

Categories     Beverage

Time 1h10m

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 medium Haas avocado (sliced and frozen)
½ c ice
⅓ c milk ((add more if you want to thin smoothie))
¼ c condensed milk ((add more if you want a sweeter smoothie))

Steps:

  • To make the frozen avocado slices, cut ripe avocados in medium sized slices. Line a sheet pan with wax paper and place the avocado slices individually on the pan. Place this sheet in the freezer for one hour. When they have frozen, you can use them for the smoothie or put them in a freezer safe container.
  • To make the smoothie, add all the ingredients into a strong blender. Consistency should be super thick with small chunks of the frozen avocados.
  • This ratio is not too sweet, but you can adjust the amount of condensed milk for a sweeter taste. To make this a smoother consistency, you can add more milk too.
  • Pour the smoothie into a glass and eat with a straw or spoon (it's that thick!).

ULTRA-CREAMY AVOCADO SMOOTHIE

Ultra-Creamy Avocado Smoothie image

In many countries folks eat avocados for dessert, in custards and in shakes like this one. The riper the avocado, the sweeter the shake, so you'll want to adjust the sweetness to taste. If you have matcha (green tea powder) on hand, add some for a boost of antioxidants, nutrients and fiber.

Time 5m

Yield 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 cup milk
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk, plus more to taste
2 cups crushed ice
2 ripe Hass avocados, pitted

Steps:

  • Blend the milk, sweetened condensed milk and ice in a blender until very smooth. Add the avocado flesh and blend again until smooth. The mixture will be quite thick; add cold water a few tablespoons at a time, blending after each addition, until the mixture is pourable. Taste and add more sweetened condensed milk if you want it sweeter. Serve in chilled glasses with straws.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe avocados: Use ripe avocados for a creamier and smoother texture. Look for avocados that are slightly soft when pressed gently.
  • Chill ingredients beforehand: Chilling the ingredients, especially the avocado, milk, and yogurt, helps create a refreshing and cool smoothie.
  • Add sweetness to taste: Adjust the amount of sugar or honey based on your preference. You can also use other natural sweeteners like maple syrup or agave nectar.
  • Use frozen bananas: Frozen bananas add a thick and creamy texture to the smoothie. If you don't have frozen bananas, you can freeze them beforehand or use fresh bananas and add ice cubes.
  • Blend until smooth: Blend the ingredients until they are smooth and creamy, with no chunks or lumps. You may need to stop and stir the mixture occasionally to ensure everything is well combined.
  • Serve immediately: Smoothies are best enjoyed fresh. Serve them immediately after blending to prevent the avocado from oxidizing and turning brown.
