The kids gave it this title because I think they were surprised they like it so much. I use a fork, but have extra taco chips around for scooping.

TACO CASSEROLE SURPRISE
This recipe is my own creation. It works great with the pre-packaged taco kits. If you like the crust a little softer, add more taco sauce and bake for a few more minutes.

Tips:
- Prepare Ingredients in Advance: Chop and measure all the ingredients before starting to assemble the casserole. This will save time and ensure that everything is ready when you need it.
- Use Fresh Ingredients: Fresh ingredients will give your casserole the best flavor. If possible, use fresh vegetables, herbs, and spices. You can also use frozen or canned ingredients, but fresh is always best.
- Cook the Beef Thoroughly: Make sure that the beef is cooked thoroughly before adding it to the casserole. This will help prevent foodborne illness.
- Don't Overcook the Casserole: The casserole should be cooked until the beef is heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Overcooking can make the casserole dry and tough.
- Let the Casserole Rest: After cooking, let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving. This will help the flavors to meld and the casserole to set.
- Serve with Your Favorite Toppings: Serve the casserole with your favorite toppings, such as sour cream, guacamole, salsa, or diced tomatoes.
