Tips:

  • Use high-quality tuna: Opt for tuna that is sustainably sourced and packed in water or olive oil. Avoid tuna packed in vegetable oil, as it tends to be lower in quality.
  • Choose fresh herbs: Tarragon is the star of this salad, so use fresh tarragon leaves for the best flavor. If you don't have fresh tarragon, you can substitute dried tarragon, but use half the amount.
  • Don't overmix the salad: Overmixing the salad will break down the tuna and make it mushy. Gently fold the ingredients together until just combined.
  • Serve the salad chilled: Tuna salad is best served chilled, so make it ahead of time and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Conclusion:

This tangy tarragon tuna salad is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. With its combination of fresh herbs, creamy mayonnaise, and flavorful tuna, this salad is sure to please everyone. Serve it on a bed of lettuce, in a sandwich, or on crackers for a satisfying meal.
