Time 35m

Yield 12 Patti's, 12 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 1/2 lbs ground turkey
3 beef bouillon cubes (dissolved in about 1/4 cup boiling water)
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 1/2 tablespoons pepper
1 cup breadcrumbs

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl (Use your fingers, it works the best!). Add more bouillon if you like a stronger beef flavor. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to soak all the flavor.
  • Take wax paper, parchment paper or foil and cut 12 square shaped pieces.
  • Lay the wax paper down on the counter, and make a patty from the meat and place on top, layer another sheet and patty up to 2 patties. I made 12 patties, but you can make bigger ones than I did.
  • Place remaining patties and wax paper in a gallon sized freezer bag. Freeze nicely for up to a month. Pull them out as needed. Great grilled or even just placed in the broiler.
  • Cooking time is about 10-15 minutes.

Great moist "burgers". A nice alternative to beef, use the Worcestershire sauce to your taste, but I usually do about 8 shakes--the secret to the moist burger!

Categories     Lunch/Snacks

Time 20m

Yield 4-8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 lbs ground turkey
1/2 red bell pepper, minced
1/2 onion, minced
1 garlic clove, minced
1 large egg
1 slice white bread, torn into small pieces
8 dashes lea and perrins worcestershire sauce for chicken
pepper
cayenne, for a nice kick

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients.
  • Grill on a bbq or cook in a frying pan.
  • Serve with all your favorite burger fixings!

Tips:

  • Choose the Right Ground Turkey: Opt for ground turkey with a higher fat content (at least 7%) for juicier burgers. If using leaner ground turkey, add some olive oil or butter to the mixture for extra moisture.
  • Season Generously: Don't be shy with the seasonings! A flavorful blend of spices, herbs, and sauces can elevate your turkey burgers to the next level.
  • Don't Overwork the Mixture: Mixing the ground turkey too much can make the burgers tough. Mix gently until the ingredients are just combined.
  • Form Gentle Patties: Handle the ground turkey mixture gently when forming the patties. Pressing too hard can compact the meat, resulting in dry burgers.
  • Use a Thermometer for Perfect Doneness: Cooking turkey burgers to the right internal temperature (165°F) ensures they are cooked thoroughly while remaining moist.
  • Add Creative Toppings: Experiment with various toppings to create unique and delicious flavor combinations. From classic cheese and bacon to avocado, salsa, or even a fried egg, the possibilities are endless.

Crafted with care and attention to detail, these turkey burgers offer a delightful culinary experience that rivals traditional beef burgers.
