1 cup chopped walnuts
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1/2 cup butter

1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1 tablespoon grated dry orange rind
3 1/2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar or 1 container cream cheese frosting
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1 tablespoon grated dry orange rind

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Blend apple pie filling, eggs, apple pie spice and cloves until smooth.
  • Place in large bowl.
  • Add cake mix.
  • Beat for 4 minutes.

  • Bake for 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out dry.
  • Cool on rack.
  • Frost when cool using either of the above recipes.
  • Or dust with confectioners sugar.
  • Frosting: For either method: Combine all ingredients.
  • Beat until creamy and spreadable consistency.

Tips:

  • Use a good quality chocolate. The better the chocolate, the better the cake will taste. Look for a chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 70%.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing the batter will make the cake tough. Mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the cake in a greased and floured pan. This will help the cake to rise evenly and prevent it from sticking to the pan.
  • Let the cake cool completely before frosting it. This will help the frosting to set properly.
  • Store the cake in an airtight container at room temperature. The cake will keep for up to 3 days.

Conclusion:

Spanish Bar Cake is a delicious and easy-to-make cake that is perfect for any occasion. With its rich chocolate flavor and moist texture, this cake is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you're looking for a special dessert, give Spanish Bar Cake a try. You won't be disappointed!
