Tips:

  • Choose your toppings wisely: The toppings are what really make totchos shine, so take some time to choose a variety that you'll enjoy. Some popular options include cheese, chili, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, and jalapeños.
  • Don't be afraid to get creative: There are no rules when it comes to totchos, so feel free to get creative with your toppings. Try adding some unexpected ingredients, like pineapple, bacon, or even fried eggs.
  • Make sure the tater tots are crispy: Crispy tater tots are the foundation of a great plate of totchos. To achieve the perfect crispiness, bake the tater tots in a single layer on a baking sheet at a high temperature.
  • Use a variety of cheeses: A blend of cheeses will give your totchos a more complex flavor. Try using a combination of cheddar, mozzarella, and pepper jack cheese.
  • Don't overcrowd the baking sheet: When baking the tater tots, make sure to leave enough space between them so that they can crisp up properly. If the tater tots are too close together, they will steam instead of fry.

With so many different topping options to choose from, there's sure to be a combination that everyone will love. So next time you're looking for a fun and easy dish to make, give totchos a try!
