I love to make this after the holidays. I use leftover waldorf salad and turkey and it goes together very quickly. It's also good on croissants.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients. This will make a big difference in the flavor of your sandwich. Ensure the turkey is moist and tender, the bread is fresh and fluffy, and the apples are crisp and juicy.
  • Don't skimp on the dressing. The dressing is what brings all the flavors of the sandwich together. Make sure to use a good quality mayonnaise and plenty of chopped celery and walnuts.
  • Toast the bread. Toasting the bread will help it hold up better to the dressing and prevent it from getting soggy. You can toast the bread in a toaster or on a griddle.
  • Add some extra crunch. If you want a sandwich with a little more crunch, add some chopped celery or walnuts to the dressing.
  • Experiment with different types of bread. Turkey Waldorf sandwiches are traditionally made with white bread, but you can also use whole wheat bread, sourdough bread, or even croissant.
