Tips for Making the Best Vegemite-Basted Chicken

  • Choose high-quality chicken: For the best flavor and texture, use organic, free-range chicken.
  • Use a good quality Vegemite: Not all Vegemites are created equal. Look for a brand that is made with only natural ingredients and has a strong, distinctive flavor.
  • Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes: This will allow the Vegemite to penetrate the chicken and give it a deep, savory flavor.
  • Baste the chicken frequently: Basting the chicken with Vegemite while it cooks will help to keep it moist and prevent it from drying out.
  • Cook the chicken to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit: This will ensure that the chicken is cooked through and safe to eat.
  • Let the chicken rest before serving: Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This will help the juices to redistribute and make the chicken more tender.
