Grilled Peaches with Prosciutto image

Grilling peaches deepens their natural sweetness, and when they're paired with prosciutto and basil, it's an unbeatable flavor trifecta: sweet, smoky, salty. That said, grilled peaches also pair well with vanilla ice cream.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe but firm peaches for this recipe. Underripe peaches will be too hard, while overripe peaches will be too soft and may fall apart when wrapped in prosciutto.
  • If you are using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before using. This will help to prevent them from burning.
  • Be careful not to overcook the peaches. They should be cooked just until they are tender but still hold their shape.
  • Serve the peaches warm, drizzled with the balsamic glaze. You can also add a dollop of whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.

Conclusion:

Warm prosciutto-wrapped peaches are a delicious and elegant appetizer or dessert. They are easy to make and can be prepared ahead of time. The combination of sweet peaches, salty prosciutto, and tangy balsamic glaze is sure to please everyone at your table.
